A: A boost sensor, also known as boost pressure sensor or MAP sensor, monitors turbo boost pressure inside the intake manifold and sends real-time electrical signals to the truck ECU. The ECU adjusts fuel injection and turbo control to keep diesel engine performance stable. We supply OEM replacement boost sensors for ISUZU, JMC, Qingling and JAC light trucks.
A: Short-distance driving may be possible, but we strongly advise against long-time operation. Incorrect pressure readings will cause wrong air-fuel ratio, which may damage the turbocharger and other engine parts. Replace the boost sensor immediately once confirmed faulty.
A: Main reasons: high temperature under the hood, oil / moisture contamination, damaged internal diaphragm, corroded connector pins, vibration wear during long truck operation.
